Life Cycle Living
Sacred Fire West Brookfield
West Brookfield, Massachussetts, US
May 26-27, 2018
In our race toward progress and increased productivity, our culture has forgotten so much. All life has a powerful cyclic order. Living with an awareness of life’s cycles aligns us with this natural balance, helping us to lead more connected, empowered lives.
When we adopt this perspective, we discover that life can be easier and more fulfilling than we thought. For example, each stage of our life has an important role to play in naturally producing gifts and opportunities that are readily available, if we understand how to identify them. Ancestral traditions understood this explicitly and worked to maintain this awareness for common benefit.
The Sacred Fire Community is working to reintroduce this awareness so that we and our families and communities can once again benefit from these life currents.
We hope you will join us for this opportunity to explore these invaluable perspectives with our community.

Dan Sprinkles has lived around the world, including Taiwan, Greece, up and down both coasts of the U.S., and in Hawaii and Alaska. After graduating with an honors degree in Electrical Engineering, Dan was commissioned as a naval officer and was selected for nuclear training, serving five years as a naval officer on two nuclear submarines in clandestine, highly classified submerged operations. Dan went on to receive an MBA from Harvard Business School, and spent over twenty years as a corporate executive and consultant.
At age 50, Dan began a new phase of his life and was initiated as a weather-working shaman (granicero) in the Nahua tradition and as a traditional healer (mara’akame) in the Huichol tradition. He serves as a Board member and shaman-in-residence for Blue Deer, a retreat center and home for ancient wisdom in the New York Catskills. He and his partner, Annie Eagan, serve as Firekeepers under the auspices of the Sacred Fire Community. Dan is the facilitator of the Sacred Fire Community Lifeways initiation for young men, Sacred Awakening.
Sherry Boatright is an elder quiatizques (woman bringer of rain or weather shaman) in the Nahuatl tradition of the central highlands of Mexico. A former psychotherapist experienced in leading women’s groups, she is a ceremonial leader and a Sacred Fire Community Firekeeper. Sherry is the Director of Lifeways for the Sacred Fire Community, a series of programs that honor and celebrate the natural stages and transitions of life.
