Part 4: Firekeepers, I Love You for your mistakes, your sacrifice, and your learning
Who do you know who is good at making mistakes? Do you know people who put their community before themselves or value life-long learning? In her fourth podcast, Erin Everett, who attends Sacred Fire community fires, shares her experience of these qualities in the Firekeepers she knows.
The Sacred Fire Outreach production team is tight-knit and devoted to the work at hand, which is to extend the invitation for modern human beings to come to the fire once again. We love it, and you will, too! Do you want to help people get off the computer and TV and experience the laughter, sharing, transformation and healing medicine of Fire?
Right now, we have two specific needs: 1) Transcriptionist: someone who is willing to take video and audio content and transcribe to text, so we can use elements of that for written work. 2) Fire Story Content Manager: ideal for someone who likes to engage with people creatively. This is a fun role for someone organized, dedicated, and great at seeing a project through from start to finish. You will get to reach out and ask people to talk about how they have been touched and changed by community fires and Sacred Fire’s other fiery offerings, working with them to bring their short Fire Stories to completion.Read More
Sacred Fire Concord is delighted to announce that registration is now open for the August 24 Fire Speaks in Harvard, MA (USA), which they will be hosting. The event will be held on a beautiful farm, amidst an organic orchard and sculpture garden. The land there has been honored and used for ceremonial purpose for years; both the land and its caretakers are offering a big welcome to the Sacred Fire Community.
It is also not too late to register for the July 27 Olympia, WA (USA) Fire Speaks. All Fire Speaks events are family friendly and good for the soul!
An interview with Sacred Fire attendee Olivia Woodford.
We asked Olivia Woodford to share some words of wisdom about the human journey, as it relates in particular to finding purpose and direction in life. In this interview, Olivia also speaks to her relationship with the Sacred Fire community, and how this helps her stay on the path of Heart.
Olivia, can you share with our readers, what is your compass in life?
I think my compass in life is, “Do I feel good?” And feeling good doesn’t necessarily mean being happy or even necessarily being relaxed, but I can feel when I am aligned. When I’m aligned, it’s like everything begins to move, or I feel like I am getting carried or being held, and so when I am aligned, I feel I am moving in relationship with life. And so I look for that alignment.
